Information Technology Specialist for non-profit Travel Industry Association
General Function: Responsible for small office network and day-to-day help desk support to staff. Maintains ATIA’s internet sites (alaskatia.org, alaskatourismjobs.com and alaskatravelauction.com). Coordinates AV needs for events. Reports to the Communications Director.
Qualifications: Degree in computer science or communications-related field. Computer networking, user service/help desk skills and knowledge of network operating systems is essential. Familiarity with development and maintenance of website content is required. Strong database management background is also important.
Major Activities:
- Manage network/servers
- Staff resource for computer maintenance/problems
- Coordinate with network contractors and software vendors.
- Provides electronic-communication support to ATIA
- Serves as webmaster and primary contact for the AlaskaTIA.org, AlaskaTourismJobs.com and AlaskaTravelAuction.com websites
- Develops original content and places content created by other staff onto the association websites, in both pdf and HTML format.
- Coordinates with the web contractor and/or web host to troubleshoot technical problems with the association websites.
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

| Job Description: |
Assist in development of events, programs and distribution of communications bulletins, letters to the membership relating to Government Relations and advocacy efforts. Act as the main liaison between ATIA staff in the coordination and communication to ATIA membership volunteering and assisting in ATIA’s government relations efforts.
- Work on and coordinate ATIA’s annual legislative briefing presentations (materials and information) which occur in January of every year at the beginning of the Alaska State Legislative Session.
- During November, December and January, assist in the coordination and the meetings of ATIA Staff and membership’s to specific legislators prior to the beginning of each legislative session.
- Work on and coordinate ATIA annual legislative fly-in generally held in the latter part of March.
- With Staff and Government Relations, identify and coordinate at least two election campaign fundraisers that ATIA wants to “host”.
- Work on various Government Relations – PAC fundraising efforts throughout the year such as PAC raffle, Government Relations convention auction, and specific donation requests to the membership.
- Coordinate with President and Manager Event Services in activities relating to Government Relations / grassroots efforts at the annual ATIA convention.
- Perform other duties related to Government Relations Activities or related to ATIA and as assigned by the President and COO.
